Job summary

Vertiv in Franklin Furnace, Ohio is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor to lead and coach the production team on a single line, aiming to meet KPI targets in safety, quality, production, and efficiency.

You will drive continuous improvement, schedule and prioritize work, perform regular performance reviews, and partner with operations to deliver reliable results while adhering to corporate training and EHS requirements.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of leadership experience.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to develop and coach a diverse team.
• Must be self-driven with strong prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of ISO and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
• Willing to work overtime as plant needs require.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coaches individuals and teams to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Monitors performance and facilitates implementation of improvements.
• Provides direction, support, and resources to individuals and teams.
• Coaches for improvements and recognizes accomplishments.
• Supervise employees involved in manufacturing activities, including assigning and reviewing work, and evaluating performance.
• Supervise, delegate, and prioritize workload. Implement procedures and conduct team meetings.
• Function as business partner driving process improvement & change initiatives.
• Ensures timely and accurate compliance with mandatory corporate training requirements.
• Define and establish key performance measurements to monitor training effectiveness.
• Establish, maintain, and communicate all required procedures to deliver effective training.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide regular feedback.
• Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence.
• Schedule and conduct meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that goals are communicated.
