Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks an experienced Operational Risk Liaison to oversee CST and related risk activities across Finance and Legal. You will provide enterprise-wide risk oversight, challenge processes, and collaborate with Financial Risk Management, Model Risk Oversight, Treasury, and other partners to strengthen risk controls.

The role requires strong attention to detail, communication, and the ability to influence without direct ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in risk management, governance, or similar role.
• Experience in Risk Management and Risk Assessments within banking, brokerage, or financial services.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership for presenting to senior executives.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration to influence outcomes without direct ownership.
• Experience with Capital Stress Testing, CCAR/DFAST-like processes, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight, consultation, and effective challenge of business-led initiatives and CST-related processes.
• Assess CST control environment, remediation activities, and emerging risk themes across multiple teams.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of business processes and controls to manage risks.
• Monitor and analyze operational risk data to support risk identification, assessment, and reporting.
• Communicate assessments to leadership and build alignment across partners.
