Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping, with emphasis on safety and performance of day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities include performing repairs and adjustments, monitoring energy management, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps and energy management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to keep buildings safe and functional.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect and service entry doors, lighting, and life-safety systems; assist with emergency response as needed.
• Document activities and follow safety, codes, and company policies.
