Afognak Native Corporation seeks a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient operation of Central Plant equipment, including boilers and HVAC units, under the Chief Engineer's supervision.

The role requires extensive facility-operations experience, hands-on maintenance skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff, uphold safety standards, and coordinate maintenance activities. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in Facility Operations.
• Minimum three years of experience in Engineering Services.
• DC 3rd Class Steam and Hot Water Heating Boiler Engineer license
• Top Secret Security Clearance
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, facility management, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and independent decision making

Responsabilités

• Operate, maintain, and repair central plant equipment including boilers, HVAC units, and electrical systems.
• Act in the capacity of Chief Engineer when required.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance
