Job summary

Alutiiq, LLC is seeking a Lead Engineer to supervise the safe and efficient operation of Central Plant equipment at the Arlington, VA site. You will oversee boilers, HVAC and electrical systems, stepping in for Chief Engineer as needed.

Qualified candidates bring at least five years of facility operations experience, a DC 3rd Class boiler license, and a Secret clearance. The role requires leadership, regulatory compliance, and hands-on technical guidance to staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in engineering services related to facility operations.
• District of Columbia (DC) 3rd Class Steam and Hot Water Heating Boiler Engineer license
• Secret security clearance
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, facility management, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity for independent decision making

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair all Central Plant equipment, including boilers, HVAC units, and electrical systems
• Act in the capacity of Chief Engineer when required
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior engineering staff
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance
