Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a Senior Mining Professional to oversee Technical Services planning for Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. You will guide short- and long-range planning, supervise design data, and coordinate with mine operations to meet monthly targets while ensuring safety and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have a mining engineering degree and 5–8+ years in open-pit mining, with Deswik and MS Office proficiency, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years minimum, 8+ years preferred mining experience with open pit exposure.
• Safety: MSHA or HSEC standards compliance.
• Knowledge: MS Office, time management, and ability to disseminate technical info; Deswik a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support Technical Services planning groups in short and long-range timeframes for pit planning and drill/blast patterns.
• Ensure safe, timely execution of all functions in an open-pit mining environment.
• Provide leadership to enable zero harm and professional development within the team.
• Manage daily/weekly/three-month mine and dump plans and maintain the design database.
• Collaborate with mine operations to meet monthly plan requirements and improve software use.
