Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor at Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina to lead planned and unplanned maintenance on loading and drilling equipment. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams, ensuring safe, efficient execution, and a rotating schedule.

You will guide technicians, oversee work orders, and drive safety and reliability improvements while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and operations.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years technical experience in the Mining Maintenance Sector with emphasis on loaders, hydraulic shovels, excavators, drills
• 2 years’ experience as a supervisor or equivalent supervisory position
• Direct practical experience with mining equipment (Komatsu PC 3000/4000, CAT 6020/992/993/988 series)
• Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Review and direct technicians on scheduled/unscheduled repair activities with safety and efficiency in mind
• Coordinate with operations supervisors for scheduling and sequencing
• Manage work orders, standard plans, and training materials
• Spend at least 50% of time on visible leadership with technicians and contractors
• Support safety and reliability improvements across equipment
• Maintain maintenance shift reports and dispatch data
