Zusammenfassung

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate of Ontology and Data Modeling to develop and govern enterprise ontologies supporting the Data Strategy. Collaboration across Finance, Technology, and product teams will drive semantic technology adoption to improve data discoverability and product development.

The role requires communicating value of knowledge organization, standards, and mentorship across units; you will partner with teams to implement scalable semantic solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, engineering, library science, ontology, semantics, computational linguistics or a combination.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a metadata field or a masters’ degree in the specified areas.
• At least 3 years’ experience or training with W3C standards including linked and canonical data and ontologies (JSON, XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS).
• At least 3 years’ experience or training in ontology and linked data tools (Protégé, TopQuadrant, PoolParty, Stardog, AnzoGraph, Neptune, or Data.World).
• At least 3 years’ experience with SQL, SPARQL, or a combination.

Aufgaben

• Develop, implement and govern ontologies and optimized data models in consultation with stakeholders.
• Contribute to data integration and mapping to harmonize data with upper and domain ontologies.
• Communicate and advocate the value of ontologies, semantics, and data standardization across the business.
• Partner with Technology and other teams to integrate semantics into products and services.
• Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using machine learning and semantic tools.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments in ontology, semantics and data modeling.
• Understand and adhere to W3C standards (RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SHACL).
• Develop standards and guidelines for ontology and data standardization at Capital One.
• Test and troubleshoot new models and systems.
• Manage and oversee other projects as assigned by Product Owners and Supervisors.
