Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Associate in Ontology and Data Modeling to develop, implement, and govern enterprise ontologies supporting the Data Strategy. The role collaborates with Finance and Enterprise teams to create standardized data and enable semantic technology across Capital One products and services.

The candidate will champion knowledge organization, maintain alignment with W3C standards, and work with Tech, ML, and product teams to drive semantic integration and data standardization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information science, CS, engineering, library science, ontology, semantics, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in metadata or a related masters degree.
• Experience with W3C standards including RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and govern ontologies and optimized data models with stakeholders.
• Contribute to data integration and mapping to harmonize data with ontologies.
• Advocate the value of ontologies, semantics, and data standardization across the business.
• Partner with Technology and ML teams to integrate semantics into products.
