Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information science, computer science, engineering, library science, ontology, semantics or a combination.
• At least 3 years’ experience with metadata, ontology, or related field; masters is acceptable.
• Experience with W3C standards including JSON, XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS; familiarity with linked data tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and govern ontologies and optimized data models with stakeholders.
• Contribute to data integration and mapping to harmonize data with domain ontologies.
• Advocate value of ontologies, semantics, and standardization across the business.
• Partner with Technology and Product teams to integrate semantic tech into Capital One offerings.
• Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using machine learning and semantic tools.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments in ontology and data modeling.
