Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information science or related fields.
• 3+ years in metadata or ontology-related work.
• Experience with W3C standards and ontologies.
• Experience with ontology and linked data tools.
• Experience with SQL, SPARQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and govern ontologies and optimized data models in consultation with stakeholders.
• Contribute to data integration and mapping to harmonize data with upper and domain ontologies.
• Communicate the value of ontologies, semantics, and standardization across the business.
• Partner with Technology, ML, and other teams to integrate semantics in Capital One products and services.
• Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using ML and semantic tools.
• Maintain awareness of developments in ontology, data modeling, and ML.
• Understand and adhere to RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SHACL
