Job summary

Shift4 is seeking an Onsite POS Installer, Associate to manage full POS system and peripheral installations at merchant locations. The role involves hardware/software/network configuration, site surveys, and merchant training, with travel up to 200 miles and occasional national trips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience installing or supporting POS products.
• Technician background in network/computer troubleshooting or installation.
• Experience with hand tools and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Docs.
• Good driving record and willingness to travel on short notice.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and ability to follow directions.
• Preferred: English/Spanish bilingual abilities and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete POS installations, including hardware, software, network setup, and configuration.
• Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot network cabling issues.
• Test hardware/software and credit card processing with minimal remote support.
• Provide merchant training on POS systems and ensure satisfaction.
• Document installations and provide photos of work performed.
• Travel locally within 200 miles and occasionally nationally for installations.
• Maintain equipment inventory and track monthly expenses.
• Participate in ongoing training for Shift4 product suite.
