W G Yates & Sons Construction is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as the onsite HR resource for a major project. You will provide strategic and hands-on HR support, focusing on employee relations, investigations, and workforce planning to support project leadership.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in employee relations and workplace investigations, and a background in construction or engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience, including at least four (3) years focused on employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Demonstrated experience independently conducting and documenting complex investigations (harassment, discrimination, retaliation).
• Five (5) or more years of experience within construction or engineering; on-site project experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment law.
• Must be able to work 100% on-site at the designated project location or be based in Dallas/Irving, TX with onsite presence several days per week.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems.

Responsabilités

• Serve as onsite HR resource for the project team, providing strategic and hands-on HR support.
• Lead objective, thorough investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, policy violations, and hostile work environment claims.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions with project leadership and corporate HR.
• Identify employee relations trends and morale issues; develop strategies with corporate HR involvement.
• Mediate and resolve interpersonal and team conflicts across employees and supervisors.
• Advise project leadership on leadership conduct, communication, and consistent accountability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
• Partner with executives on workforce planning, organization structure, and people risks.
• Coach managers through performance management processes and documentation.
• Oversee onsite onboarding, orientation, and policy briefings.
• Lead workforce mobilization/demobilization, reductions in force, and termination processes.
• Deliver policy presentations to onsite personnel and leadership on topics like anti-harassment and ethics.
