Ideal candidates will onboard new users, configure laptops and peripherals, manage hardware inventories, and ensure timely responses to routine support requests. Local travel within the Augusta area may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and prompt response to end-user questions.
• Experience providing basic desktop computer support and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with configuring laptops, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
• Experience maintaining equipment inventories and tracking hardware assignments.
• Prefer candidate with state government or public-sector IT experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical info clearly.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of activities and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of new users and provide technology guidance to new employees.
• Prepare, install, and configure laptops, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory logs and track equipment assignments.
• Respond to routine desktop support requests and troubleshoot common issues.
• Document completed work and troubleshooting steps for reference.
• Deliver timely, accurate responses to questions about equipment and workplace tech.
• Follow procedures and quality guidelines for setup, support, and inventory tasks.
• Attend team meetings to discuss issues and improvements.
• Assist with retirement and disposal of obsolete equipment.
• Perform other IT operations tasks as needed.
