Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced Telephony Administrator to manage on-premises Avaya PBX, VoIP, and UC services in Columbia, SC. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, incident resolution, and thorough documentation of configurations.

You will handle move/add/change requests, optimize call routing, maintain 911 data, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliability. On-site role prioritizing service quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Avaya on premise PBX systems.
• 2+ years of experience administering VoIP and unified communications platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, call routing, and voice gateway technologies.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting voice quality, call routing, carrier connectivity, and E911 services.
• 2+ years of experience with telecommunications infrastructure, including voice circuits, session border controllers (SBCs), and PSTN integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and advanced telephony administration for voice, voicemail, and UC services.
• Lead projects to design, implement, and document improvements to enterprise telephony networks.
• Respond to incidents, coordinate multi-team efforts, and resolve outages quickly.
• Maintain accurate 911 location information and create knowledge base articles for internal and customer use.
