TEKsystems in Columbia, SC is seeking an Expert Telephony Engineer for a 9-12 month on-site contract to support enterprise telephony and unified communications. You will administer VoIP, Avaya PBX, and related voice infrastructure, handle moves/adds/changes, IVR, E911 data, and lead telephony projects.

The role requires strong troubleshooting of voice quality, routing, and SBCs, with a focus on continuous improvement and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

Expert-level Avaya on-prem PBX administration in enterprise environments.
VoIP and unified communications administration across voice, voicemail, conferencing, and collaboration services.
Strong knowledge of call routing, vectoring, ARS routing tables, dial plans, and related telephony design concepts.
Experience with SIP, RTP, QoS, SBCs, PSTN integration, and voice infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

Provide operational and advanced telephony administration.
Support moves, adds, changes, and disconnects for voice and UC services.
Administer voicemail, conferencing, IVR, vectoring, and telephony infrastructure.
Maintain accurate E911 location information and documentation.
Lead telephony projects and system enhancements as technical lead.
Design, maintain, and implement enterprise telephony improvements.
