Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation in Kansas City, MO (hybrid) is seeking an Application Support Specialist to provide technical support for online banking applications and production systems. You will handle incident tickets, monitor performance, and coordinate with vendors and IT teams to implement fixes and upgrades.

The role requires strong problem solving, experience with financial applications, and a proactive approach to incident management.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in a technical role supporting financial applications, including familiarity with transaction processing and online banking applications.
Troubleshooting production issues that span multiple systems.
Experience with Splunk.
Experience supporting vendor applications or online banking systems (e.g., Q2).
Ability to field incoming incident tickets and resolve issues in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for incidents and coordinate resolution with application teams, vendors, and business units.
Analyze incident data to identify underlying problems and implement long-term solutions.
Lead post-mortem analyses for high-priority incidents and document resolutions.
Work with management to drive process improvements and system performance.
Coordinate with third-party vendors to meet SLAs and share knowledge with peers.
