Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Senior Scheduler to support the Port Arthur Cancer Center, with occasional travel to Beaumont. The role involves scheduling patient appointments and tests efficiently, acting as a liaison between patients and medical staff, and handling pre-certifications and referrals.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Experience with scheduling patient appointments and tests.
• Familiarity with insurance pre-certification and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate staff.
• Schedule new and returning patients per physician guidelines.
• Enter referrals and authorizations into EMR.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles at visit.
• Maintain scheduling templates and coordinate with clinic operations.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative scheduling support.
