Job summary

A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Safety Specialist to ensure on-site safety compliance for a pharmaceutical project in Lehigh Valley, PA. Responsibilities include engaging with contractors, promoting safety culture, observing construction activities, and training workers on safety protocols. The role requires a bachelor's degree, over 15 years of relevant experience, and certifications like CHST, ASP, or CSP. This is a full-time position for a duration of 12 months, renewable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety, or occupational health and safety preferred.
• 15+ years of on-site experience in construction-specific project health & safety.
• Certification in the field: CHST, ASP, and/or CSP preferred.
• Experience on large construction/megaprojects required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage with general contractors and subcontractors as the owner’s representative.
• Promote client’s safety culture across contractor and subcontractor groups.
• Identify uncontrolled hazards and influence safe work practices.
• Conduct daily site inspections and issue observation reports.
• Train on-site workers on EHS oversight program requirements.
