Job summary

HITT Contracting in Austin, TX is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent for Mission Critical projects. You will lead on-site operations, ensure safety, uphold quality, and coordinate with the project team and subcontractors to meet schedule commitments.

The role requires strong communication, 5+ years of commercial construction experience (tenant renovations and occupied spaces a plus), and a four-year degree preferred. ProCore/BlueBeam and OSHA 30 certification are valued.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in construction, engineering or business is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with tenant renovations and occupied spaces is a plus.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources to meet deadlines.
• Project lead or superintendent experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• ProCore, BlueBeam, Adobe and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site leadership and manage daily work flow per schedule.
• Maintain HITT safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Maintain daily site log, punch list, and closeout activities.
• Collaborate with the project manager on scheduling and sequencing.
• Foster strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and scope.
• Identify long-lead items and mitigate delays.
• Organize site team and resources for temporary facilities/utilities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering/business

Experience in lieu of degree

5+ years’ experience in commercial construction
