Senior Construction Superintendent — On-Site Leadership

Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site activities for complex commercial projects in Houston. You will direct work flow, uphold safety and quality standards, and serve as the primary on-site leader coordinating with the project team and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include maintaining the daily site log, managing the punch list and closeout, aligning schedule commitments with the project manager, and developing site teams and relationships to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 8-10 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
• Project lead experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a superintendent or project lead experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work flow of the project on site consistent with the project schedule and HITT safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary on-site leader coordinating with the project team and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily log of all activities and site conditions, manage punch list and closeout process.
• Collaborate with the project manager on schedule and installation methods; ensure proper methods and sequence are followed.
• Develop and organize the site team and subcontractor relationships to support timely, high-quality delivery.
