Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Virginia seeks a Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent - Mission Critical to lead on-site operations, ensure safety, and drive project schedules with quality standards.

You will coordinate subcontractors, maintain daily logs, and collaborate with the project manager to deliver complex, critical-build projects. The role requires 8–10 years in commercial construction, a four-year degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with ProCore, Microsoft Office,

Qualifications

• A four-year degree strongly preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 8–10 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Tenant renovations, service work, and work in occupied spaces are a plus.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources (people, tools, time) to meet deadlines.
• Project lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and administering the HITT safety program for all subcontractors.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Lead on-site safety and manage a safe jobsite.
• Maintain daily activity logs and manage punch list/closeout.
• Collaborate with the PM to formulate the project schedule and sequence of installation.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation and manage change orders.
• Organize the site team and arrange facilities/utilities, identify long-lead items.
• Collaborate with PM and site operations throughout the project life.
