Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer to lead the operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at a 24/7 Seattle headquarters. The role requires on-site presence and collaboration with an engineering team of about 80.

You will tackle maintenance tasks, support preventative programs, and assist in training the team while handling on-call duties as needed. Strong technical and safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Washington 07 Electrical License preferred.
• City of Seattle Boiler license preferred.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Leadership/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and handle tenant service requests.
• Assist in providing training and supervision to expand the Engineering team's capabilities.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations.
