Job summary

Nabors in Tyler, Texas is seeking a Rig Manager to coordinate operational functions across all rigs in the unit with emphasis on drilling operations. You will lead safety-focused initiatives, manage staffing and training, and ensure compliance with ISM and client contracts.

The role requires 5–7 years in drilling operations and supervisory experience, with offshore certificates and strict pre-employment drug testing. Multilingual communication is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years progressive experience in drilling operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government regulations are required.
• Certified in all required safety training programs, including underwater safety, firefighting, and helicopter underwater escape.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to safety policies and standards in drilling operations.
• Ensure staff have adequate resources and training to meet safety objectives.
• Conducts monthly safety meetings with department heads.
• Investigates incidents and LTAs with appropriate personnel and implements corrective actions.
• Maintains ISM compliance and ensures unit certifications are updated.
• Maintains client relations and adheres to contract terms as closely as possible.
• Reviews monthly financial reports and explains variances for operations under authority.
