Nabors is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the district maintenance team in Tyler, TX, overseeing the annual operating budget, maintaining strong relationships with customers, contractors and staff, and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.

The role requires strategic planning, cost control, and hands-on leadership to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs. Nabors emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil and gas equipment or 5 years plus an engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a technician on a drilling rig.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Service Department to maximize uptime while controlling costs.
• Analyze service delivery areas and implement a maintenance improvement plan.
• Develop programs to reduce downtime and provide predictive analytics.
• Ensure safety standards within the Technical Service department.
• Manage district technicians supporting Nabors drilling operations.
• Utilize maintenance system to plan maintenance and track performance.
• Prepare annual budget and quarterly maintenance expense estimates.
• Oversee district workshop and repair activities for Nabors equipment.
• Coach and develop department staff, recruiting as needed.
• Interface with vendors, sales, project management and engineering to resolve issues.
