Job summary

Nabors in Odessa, TX seeks a Rig Manager to oversee drilling rig operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and leadership. You will manage personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain equipment to drive performance on scheduled rotations.

The role requires strong rig experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to meet demanding safety standards while coordinating with on-site teams across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years rig experience as a Driller or 3 years as a Rig Manager
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Advanced mechanical knowledge of rotary equipment, mud circulating systems, and well shut-in procedures
• Ability to wear respiratory protective devices
• Reliable transportation to and from the rig
• Ability to work 7 or 14 days on and 7 or 14 days off, including holidays and weekends
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 35 lbs
• General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational functions of drilling rigs with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Manage personnel on site and coordinate crew activities
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to prevent downtime
