The candidate should bring extensive rig experience and strong knowledge of rotary systems and safety procedures. Responsibilities include overseeing rig maintenance, coordinating staffing with HR, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years rig experience as a Driller or 3 years as Rig Manager
• Strong knowledge of Windows and MS Office
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Advanced mechanical knowledge of rotary equipment and mud systems
• Familiar with safety and environmental regulations/requirements
• Ability to wear respiratory protective devices
• Reliable transportation to and from the rig

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, efficient drilling operations to meet goals for the company and customers
• Provide safe supervision of rig personnel and contractors
• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of rig and support equipment to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot operational issues and reduce downtime
• Lead, train and develop crew in coordination with the Superintendent
• Plan and coordinate rig moves safely and efficiently
