Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Offensive Security Consultant to lead adversarial testing engagements across diverse industries. This hands-on role involves simulating real-world attackers, validating detection, and advising clients on remediation, with strong client interaction and executive communication.

You will work with the Cyber Defense team from day one to strengthen client security postures and contribute to methodology development, tooling, and junior mentoring in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of hands‑on offensive security, penetration testing, or red teaming experience.
• Demonstrated expertise across network, application, cloud, and/or internal infrastructure testing.
• Strong understanding of adversary TTPs and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, ATLAS, and OWASP.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard tooling and command‑and‑control frameworks.
• Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience conducting assume‑breach or adversary emulation engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client-ready reports.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple engagements, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Penetration Testing: plan and execute network, app, API, and cloud tests from scoping to reporting.
• Adversary Emulations: design and run threat-informed attack simulations.
• Assume-Breach: conduct assume-breach engagements with defensive teams.
• AI Red Teaming: test AI/ML systems and LLM-enabled apps for prompt injection and data exfiltration.
• Threat Emulation: map TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Reporting & Communication: produce clear deliverables for technical and executive audiences.
• Client Advisory: help clients understand risk and prioritize remediation.
• Practice Development: contribute to tooling, automation, and mentoring of juniors.
