Job summary

EY is seeking an Active Defense Analyst with a strong information security background to emulate adversaries, validate detections, and improve defensive outcomes. You will work across teams to prioritize gaps, deliver findings, and drive remediation in both offensive and defensive security domains.

Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences is essential, with mentoring duties for junior staff and occasional on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications like OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, GPEN, GCIH or GIAC are a plus.
• 6+ years in Red Teaming, Purple Teaming or related offensive security roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct attack simulations against Windows and Linux environments using advanced TTPs.
• Identify attacker techniques, report security concerns, and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to strengthen detections, defenses, and incident response capabilities.
• Develop technical findings and remediation recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
