Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead OEM Sales Engineer for our North American Sales Division. Hybrid role based in New Orleans or Baton Rouge, LA, focused on growing electrical OEM market share and managing key customer relationships.

The role requires strategic sales leadership, strong technical knowledge of circuit protection and power distribution, and the ability to negotiate and present effectively. Travel up to 25% is expected, with a target total compensation range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales and/or minimum seven (7) years’ experience in the electrical industry.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Relocation is not available. Candidates must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Baton Rouge, LA or New Orleans, LA to be considered.
• Eaton will not sponsor employment immigration for CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to meet performance and growth expectations and requirements.
• Quote projects and negotiate pricing agreements.
• Prepare sales presentations and training to create demand through product understanding and awareness.
• Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects.
• Work with factories to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues.
• Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements.
• Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions.
• Participate in ongoing training on both functional and technical skills.
