Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead OEM Sales Engineer to grow sales of electrical components and distribution products in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge region. The role involves strategic planning, proposal development, and strong customer engagement to drive market share in circuit protection, power distribution, and control products.

The candidate will manage an assigned customer base, deliver technical guidance, and coordinate with Eaton distributors to expand market reach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales experience; seven (7) years in electrical industry preferred.
Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license; relocation not offered.
Must reside within 50 miles of Baton Rouge or New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans to meet performance and growth expectations.
Quote projects and negotiate pricing agreements.
Prepare sales presentations and training to create demand through product understanding.
Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term prospects.
Work with factories to resolve technical issues and with customers to resolve quality issues.
Travel up to 25% to cover assigned OEM accounts.
Participate in ongoing training on functional and technical skills.
