Qualifications

• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience in San Joaquin County OR 2 years of progressively responsible experience as a licensed occupational therapist.
• Must possess and maintain a current license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy; and if required by the nature of the assignment, a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy evaluations and interprets findings.
• Plans and implements occupational therapeutic treatment for patients; establishes appropriate treatment goals; uses equipment properly.
• Coordinates treatment programs with physicians, nurses, professional, and para-professional staff.
• Attends staff meetings and patient conferences; conducts/in-service education for staff; may assist with orientation of new staff.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares written reports.
• May act as lead therapist or provide instruction to other staff; may assist in coordinating internship programs; may consult with supervisory staff.
