Job summary

San Joaquin General Hospital in California is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist III-Senior to evaluate and treat patients with diverse speech and language disorders. The role may involve coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other staff to implement effective therapy plans.

The position requires licensure as a Speech Pathologist in California and a CCC in Speech Pathology from ASHA, with substitutions possible via a Clinical Fellowship Year.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible experience as a Speech Therapist II in San Joaquin County service.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience as a licensed speech pathologist performing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for a variety of disabling conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs speech therapy evaluations and interprets findings.
• Plans and implements all types of therapeutic treatment for patients; establishes goals; uses equipment properly.
• Coordinates treatment programs with physicians, nurses, staff.
• Conducts in-service education and attends staff meetings and conferences.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares written reports.
• May act as lead therapist and/or preceptor; may assist in orientation and internships; may consult with supervisory staff.
