Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Occupational Therapy Department certified staff, including assistants and aides.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effect; recommends changes to physician.
• Performs assessments and reassessments for each patient.
• Demonstrates knowledge of occupational therapy modalities.
• Maintains records and ensures proper documentation.
• Maintains department safety and cleanliness; ensures patient care plans are followed.
• Collaborates with physicians, staff and families in developing care plans.
• Coordinates and supervises support staff and budget considerations.
