Lincoln Motor Company is seeking a Senior Engineer, Occupational Safety to serve as the site safety SME, developing innovative solutions for hazard control, safety systems, and compliance. The role may lead plant-wide safety processes, emergency planning, and safety training, guiding others to improve programs across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 1 year experience with a Master's or 2 years with a Bachelor's in Health and Safety or related field.
• Certified Safety Professional and Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guides team in implementing plant-wide safety processes including safety operating system and emergency planning, and safety training.
• Conducts regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supports launch activities for new projects, assess safety/ergonomic risks and guide engineers for consistent implementation across locations.
• Investigates accidents and near misses with risk management to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Develops training programs to prevent injuries and hazard exposure, and oversees employee training.
• Leads safety projects with external auditors/consultants and partners with functional leaders to design solutions.
• Designs safety communications and standards addressing emerging safety concerns and regulatory compliance.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives across Health and Safety with updates to policies and procedures.
• Provides guidance to leaders on safety objectives and proactive safety culture across locations.
