Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology is building a world-class Observability Platform to scale across on-prem, hybrid, and multiple clouds. As a Senior Observability Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate large-scale observability services using Go, Python, and Java, and drive OpenTelemetry adoption across the enterprise.

You will partner with SRE, Cloud, CI/CD, Infrastructure, and security teams to raise reliability, performance, and cost efficiency, provide technical leadership,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Engineering with observability focus.
• 3+ years building backend services in Go and/or Java.
• 3+ years implementing OpenTelemetry across environments.
• 3+ years on cloud-native/container platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate core observability platform services.
• Lead OpenTelemetry adoption across the enterprise.
• Design scalable telemetry pipelines (logs, metrics, traces).
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams on reliability.
• Mentor engineers and participate in incident reviews.
• Automate workflows with CI/CD enhancements and tooling.
• Ensure secure, cost-efficient telemetry pipelines.
