Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology is evolving observability at Fortune-6 scale. As a Senior Observability Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate backend services using Go, Python, and Java, and lead OpenTelemetry instrumentation across the enterprise.

You will partner with SRE, Cloud, CI/CD, and Security teams to shape platform strategy, improve developer experience, and deliver a self-service observability ecosystem that accelerates engineering productivity and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years with observability practices (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs).
• 3+ years building production-grade backend services in Go, Python, or Java.
• 3+ years with cloud-native platforms and containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD).
• 2+ years designing distributed data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate large-scale observability services.
• Lead OpenTelemetry adoption across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with SRE, Cloud, CI/CD, and Security teams.
• Design scalable telemetry pipelines and ensure reliability.
