Job summary

CVS Health Enterprise Technology is evolving observability across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. You will design, build, and operate scalable observability services, integrating Go, Python, and Java with OpenTelemetry standards into enterprise pipelines.

You will partner with SRE, Cloud Engineering, CI/CD, and Security to shape platform strategy, improve developer experience, and deliver a secure, cost-effective observability ecosystem for CVS Health applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with a focus on observability.
• 0
• 3+ years building backend services in Go and/or Java.
• 3+ years implementing OpenTelemetry and instrumentation patterns.
• 3+ years working with cloud-native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD).
• 3+ years with public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate large-scale observability platform services using Go, Python, and Java.
• Support OpenTelemetry adoption across the enterprise, including instrumentation patterns and collector strategy.
• Design and scale high-throughput telemetry pipelines (logs, metrics, traces) with focus on performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform, and Cloud teams to establish reliability standards and incident response practices.
