Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency with Linux and/or Windows operating systems in regulated production environments.
• Hands-on experience delivering and operating enterprise-scale Infrastructure Monitoring solutions across Linux/Windows and networks.
• Strong understanding of observability and telemetry concepts including metrics, logs, and events with OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency in automation and engineering practices (Python, Ansible, PowerShell/Bash) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, operate, and improve the firm’s Infrastructure Monitoring platforms for availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Build and run enterprise-scale Infrastructure Monitoring across Linux, Windows, and complex networks, including onboarding and lifecycle management.
• Design and implement platform services, integrations, and telemetry collection including OpenTelemetry patterns.
• Develop and maintain standardized onboarding patterns (agents/collectors, configurations, dashboards, alert policies) for scalable adoption.
• Improve monitoring signal quality via baselining, thresholds, noise reduction, enrichment, and topology alignment.
• Develop secure, high-quality automation and production code; review and improve code/configs written by others.
• Automate platform operations with scripting and CI/CD-driven configuration management; implement IaC deployment patterns.
• Manage production health for the monitoring platform: lead triage, RCA, and resilience improvements.
• Partner with infrastructure, application, and SRE teams to align platform capabilities with SLIs/SLOs and readiness.
