Job summary
Beyer Blinder Belle, an award-winning architecture firm with offices in NYC, seeks an Architect to perform Construction Administration for high-rise residential/mixed-use projects in New York City.
The role involves administering contracts, advising on construction techniques and codes, interpreting CDs, processing shop drawings, and coordinating with the Senior PM and Partner in Charge. The candidate will mentor junior staff and ensure design integrity throughout CA.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of architectural practice and CA on NYC high-rise residential projects.
- Professional degree in architecture.
- Experience coordinating with clients, team, and project consultants.
- Knowledge of NYC & IBC building codes.
- Ability to present design issues to clients and team.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Administer construction contracts for complex projects.
- Advise on construction techniques, materials, and codes.
- Interpret CDs, process shop drawings, coordinate with CM and PM.
- Communicate daily with construction managers.
- Lead documentation coordination with consultants.
- Provide design solution recommendations to meet client needs.
