Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Kitchen Manager for ANS Food Services in Commerce City, CO. The role oversees food service for Adult Nutrition Services and Innovation Catering, leading kitchen leads and staff, ensuring inventory, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in food service management (or equivalent) and a Food Manager Safety Certification, plus at least three years of supervisory experience in high-volume

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in food service management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years supervisory experience in a large volume institutional food service operation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations on food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Own transportation with valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Food Manager Safety Certification – must be completed within 90 days if not already certified.

Responsabilidades

• Recruits, supervises, trains, monitors, and evaluates food service personnel.
• Maintains clear communication with staff.
• Develops, prepares, and monitors production schedules, cleaning schedules, and sanitation training.
• Works with the Lead Cook to ensure menus/recipes are followed and portions are prepared for delivery.
• Oversees inventory, ordering, production, and delivery for programs.
• Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Monitors equipment operation and coordinates repairs when needed.
• Updates menus with Dietician to improve variety for participants.
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and program reviews.
