Job summary

General Atomics is seeking a Program Manager for a major nuclear systems program within GA-EMS. You will oversee execution, budgets, and coordination with internal teams and the customer to drive program success for national security and commercial applications.

You will represent GA-EMS to the customer, shape program scope, manage staffing and procurement, and ensure safety and compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in engineering, science or related field with 11+ years of leadership experience.
• At least 4 years of project engineering/management experience taking projects from R&D to hardware delivery.
• Working knowledge of nuclear reactor principles and processes.
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program execution, monitor technical progress, schedule adherence and financial performance.
• Lead cost control and budgeting analysis across the program.
• Interface with customers to meet milestones and communicate status, risks and issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop scope, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate staffing with HR and secure key talent for the program.
• Prepare procurement documents and manage subcontracts and POs.
