Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Program Manager for the Electro-Optical Systems Group in Longmont, CO. The role focuses on leading the development of advanced optical systems, including free-space optical communications and EO/IR sensing, with experience coordinating with DoD and NASA projects.

The position requires directing multi-disciplinary teams through all program phases, aligning technical performance with budget and schedule, and supporting growth of GA-EMS

Qualifications

Typically requires advanced degree and 13+ years of program administration experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interface with all levels of management and government.
Ability to coordinate technologies across program requirements and schedules.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams to develop, build, test, and demonstrate state-of-the-art optical systems.
Manage all program phases from conceptualization through completion with technical and financial objectives.
Coordinate research and development plans for multiple customers and deliverables.
Develop and implement annual and long-term objectives for programs with technical staff and management.
Travel as required to support program needs and customer engagements.
