Qualifications

• MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Five or more years of experience in design and analysis of structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STRUDL, SASSI, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA.
• Proficiency with analysis and design codes such as ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Experience with blast design and UFC 3-340-02 and PDC guidelines.
• Experience designing structures subjected to explosive loading using explicit dynamic analysis in LS-DYNA.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers support engineering design projects and act as technical liaison on projects.
• Collaborate with a team of structural engineers and interface with other disciplines.
• Perform structural analysis and develop design calculations for safety-related structures.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and field verifications when needed.
