Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Greenville, SC, seeks a Senior Nuclear Quality Engineer to supervise quality engineering activities on complex nuclear projects. You will lead design and procurement QA reviews, drive adherence to ASME NQA-1 and related standards, and advocate robust quality assurance across engineering and supply chain teams.

You will mentor staff, manage corrective actions, and collaborate with project leadership to mitigate risks and maintain program compliance in a fast-paced government

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering and seven years of work experience; professional certification or registration if required; local qualifications may vary
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise quality reviews of design output documents and procurement packages to determine compliance with project quality program requirements
• Perform and supervise quality reviews of supplier submittals to determine compliance with procurement quality requirements
• Coordinate reviews of supplier procedures and inspection and test plans
• Perform and supervise quality reviews of turnover documentation to determine compliance with project quality requirements
• Document, evaluate, and resolve issues within the corrective action program
• Contribute to mitigation of significant quality risks and resolution of client complaints regarding quality issues
• Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including engineering and supply chain personnel
