Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to manage the audit program under the nuclear QA framework (ASME NQA-1). You plan annual schedules, lead internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You will audit projects against licensee QA records with independence from the work audited. Qualifications include NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or can qualify within 90 days, 5+ years in nuclear QA, auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1
• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or qualifiable within 90 days
• ASQ CQA a plus; strong written and oral communication for audit findings
• Ability to plan and supervise audits and maintain objective evidence

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program and internal audits
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report
• Supervise auditors and technical specialists on the audit team
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services
• Recommend approved-supplier-list changes and perform surveillances
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of our program
