Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and manage the audit program under our nuclear QA framework (ASME NQA-1). You will plan annual schedules, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write objective audit reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You will operate on projects where the licensee’s quality organization audits against our records and independence from the audited work is essential.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA credential is a plus.
• Ability to write audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without a conversation.
• Comfort delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead internal audits and supplier audits end to end; supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend additions/removals to approved-supplier lists; perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective actions, verify effectiveness, close with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support audits.
