Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Shippingport, PA, seeks a Nuclear Performance Assessor to lead evaluation of station performance and organizational effectiveness. This senior role requires broad nuclear management experience to identify weaknesses and drive corrective actions.

The position reports to the Senior Director, Fleet Performance Assessment and interacts with the Site Director of Organizational Effectiveness to debrief gaps and elevate issues to executive levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 6 years of service in nuclear power.
• Senior Reactor Operator License or Management Certification required.
• Minimum of two years professional management related experience desired.
• Broad nuclear power background with experience in three or more departments.
• All levels of experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Performance Assessment function to improve site performance.
• Review performance of functional and cross-functional areas with senior leaders.
• Assess site performance against industry performance excellence standards.
• Weekly debriefs with the Senior Director and daily updates with the Site Director.
• Generate monthly observations and quarterly performance reports for leadership.
• Escalate issues through the established elevation process when progress stalls.
• Interface externally with INPO and NRC; perform other duties as assigned.
