Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations in Perry, Ohio seeks a Nuclear Performance Assessor to evaluate station performance and identify organizational shortfalls. The role involves senior-level oversight across functions, with escalation to plant and corporate leadership as needed.

The successful candidate will have a broad nuclear background, experience in multiple departments, and a readiness window for Senior Manager responsibilities. A Senior Reactor Operator license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 6 years of nuclear power experience across disciplines.
• Minimum of two years of professional management experience at a first-line level.
• Broad nuclear background with experience in three or more departments.
• Ready Now or Ready within 1–2 years for a Senior Manager position.
• Senior Reactor Operator License or equivalent management certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Performance Assessment function to improve site performance.
• Review functional and cross-functional performance, observe in-plant activities, and interview leaders.
• Meet with the Senior Director weekly and Site Director daily for debriefings.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports and present to leadership and committees.
• Escalate unresolved issues through defined channels to leaders up to the Plant Manager/Site VP.
• Interface with INPO and NRC as needed.
