Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks a Qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures and quality control, in compliance with all protocols and ALARA programs. You will work with imaging equipment, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure patient safety.

The role requires an accredited Nuclear Medicine program graduate, 1 year of experience, and active licensure (ARDMS/NMTCB/CNMT or ARRT). On hire, BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (JRCNMT or NMTCB).
• 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine required.
• On hire: ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech, CNMT, or NMTCB certification, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures per protocols and ALARA guidelines.
• Reviews exam requisitions and notes pertinent information.
• Determines quality of radiopharmaceuticals from suppliers.
• Explains procedures and safety precautions to patients and assists during tests.
• Maintains records, licenses and files per federal/state regulations.
• Post-processes advanced imaging using Syngo Via.
• Mentors students and junior technologists.
• Ensures department meets regulatory requirements.
